180 years after the birth of Queen Elizabeth I, also known under the literary pseudonym of Carmen Sylva, we took the liberty of bringing to the limelight the life of the one who was both the first queen of Romania and the incomparable life and endeavor partner of Carol I of Hohenzollern, the first king of Romania.
We bring to the limelight, the famous Carmen Sylva, who rocked the childhood of many of us, with her stories, the one who left a vast literary work: from poetry, to dramatic works, epistolary novels, diaries, memoirs and short stories. On the famous Carmen Sylva who made popular Romanian poetry known to the Western world through her translations and was at the same time the muse and patron of many artists including: Nicolae Grigorescu, Dinicu, Caragiale, Elena Văcărescu, Vasile Alecsandri and last but not least of George Enescu, her soul child, who testified about her that she was “an undeniable embodiment of goodness.”
We bring to the limelight the famous Elizabeth I, the “mother of the wounded” during the 1877 War of Independence, the famous Elizabeth I, the first queen to take a publicity photo, the one who founded the city of the Blind/Vatra Luminoasa, and who did not preach any moment to give his thoughts and heart to the affairs of the country in the “Tempting Mission” that the good God has entrusted to him for Romania.
